Crooked Stave- Jan 2019

It’s 2019 and Pettyjohn’s has a great way to kick off your year, with help from Crooked Stave Brewing Company. These guys have been brewing quality craft beers since 2010 now and bring a progressive approach to brewing that blends science and art through creativity and passion. They also strive to keep it local with their ingredients such as Colorado floor malted barley produced exclusively for them by Leopold Bros Distillery. And feature Colorado grown hops in many recipes as well as work meticulously with whole fruit mostly grown in Colorado. Get savings up to $2.00 off on six packs like the American IPA. This beer is built to showcase hop aroma and flavor; it is juicy smooth and easy drinking.  Colorado Wild Sage is a tart Brett Saison incorporating white sage and lemongrass, using all Colorado ingredients. St. Bretta combines fresh citrus characteristics with yeast driven tropical fruit flavors and aromas. A staff favorite among sour beers is the Sour Rose’. It undergoes fermentation in large oak foeders on raspberries and blueberries.  And because it’s January and it’s dark and cold, try the Coffee Baltic Porter. Through conditioning this beer with freshly roasted beans the result is a balanced coffee character adding dark sugar, plums and cocoa notes to this robust porter. That names a few of the options from Crooked Stave’s portfolio and we carry many more. Now that is how you start the year off on a good note. We love beer here at Pettyjohn’s and love bringing you the newest brews and trendiest styles in the market. We will continue to keep our coolers full of the things that you love this year and look forward to seeing you. Thank you for helping make us, South Boulders biggest and best selection of craft beer.
