Berry and Citrus Spritzer

Powerhouse nutrients and refreshing. Ideal for Mother’s Day

 

1- 750 ml. Rosé                                                        8 oz. sliced strawberries berry citrus spritzer

1- orange sliced into quarters and sliced                  6oz. mixed berries

1- sliced lime                                                             ¼ cup orange                                                                                                liqueur

¼ cup sugar                                                              seltzer water

In a large pitcher stir together everything except the seltzer. Refrigerate until cold, at least 2 and up to 6 hours. Before serving pour seltzer in pitcher to fill. Pour into glasses. Serves 6.

Grilled Black-Beer Chicken

Marinating your meat in beer actually cuts the level of cancer-promoting compounds.

6- sliced green onions                                            6-cloves garlic peeled  Grilled-Black-Beer-Chicken

1/3 cup soy sauce                                                    ¼ cup brown sugar

2 tbsp. olive oil                                                          4 tsp. coriander seeds

12oz- black lager

In a food processor or blender blend everything except lager until smooth. Stir in lager. Seal in a gallon-size plastic bag with 3 pounds chicken pieces. Marinate refrigerated for at least 3 hours; turn bag occasionally. Grill, covered, on medium 20 to 25 minutes, or until cooked through to 165 degrees. Turning once. Note: Boil marinade 3 minutes to serve with chicken. Serves 6.
