Chateau De La Terriere Pinot Noir Sauvage
Bottled without added sulfur, this wine has plenty of acidity along with tight red fruits. It is on the thin side, fresh without much depth. Drink now. Suitable for vegans. The Château de la Terrière has stood in Cercié since the 16th century and is one of the oldest estates in the region. Located in the heart of the historic Beaujolais, facing Mont Brouilly, the property and its vines spread southwards over a volcanic hill, giving the wines a unique character, as most of other vineyards in this appellation are planted on sandy soils. Their approach is very traditional – from planting clover in between the vines to fix nitrogen in the soil and to limit the weeding, to harvesting by hand in small trays to keep a high quality of the grapes.
Vignoble Musset Roullier Cabernet Franc
“To paraphrase Michael Corleone: Just when I think I’ve found the greatest wine value on earth, another bottle comes along that forces me to re-calibrate. Don’t get me wrong, that’s a good problem to have in the annus horribilis that is 2020, but it makes it difficult to do proper justice to a wine like Musset-Roullier’s Anjou Rouge ‘Les Neuf Vingt.'” This is Loire red wine of uncommon class and complexity at this price point.
Chateau De La Terriere Regnie Vin Sauvage A Poil
The vines are situated in the “La Siberie” lieu-dit, in decomposed pink granite soil with a mix of sand and stones. A fruity, pure and mineral wine with violet floral notes, a hint of dark berry fruits (blackberries, redcurrants) and a black pepper finish. The tannins are well-blended in the mouth with a balance on the fresh side.
