“Genuinely Excellent Wines” – Stephen Tanzer

Zolo was created in 2003 by of one of Argentina’s leading women in wine, Patricia Ortiz, when she established one of Argentina’s most forward-thinking wineries. Under Patricia’s leadership, Zolo stays true to her vision of creating wines with elegance and identity, reflective of their terroir and respectful to the environment. All Zolo wines are made from estate-grown fruit which have been sustainably farmed. The vineyards are located in the premier region of Luján de Cuyo: Finca Las Llamas in Agrelo and Finca El Jarillal in Alto Agrelo. The winemaking team is led by Fabian Valenzuela and famed winemaker from Petrus Jean Claude Berrouet. Try some tonight from 5-7!

1. Torrontes 2021- Torrontés is regarded as the signature white grape of Argentina. In many ways it bears a striking resemblance to Muscat (and in fact is an offspring of Muscat of Alexandria). Sommelier Secret— If you’re in search of a new summer sipper, look no further than Torrontés. These wines are always inexpensive, delightfully refreshing and are best enjoyed in the sunny outdoors at a picnic, poolside or on the porch.

90 James Suckling- White peach, sweet pineapple, lychee and honeysuckle on the nose. Full-bodied with a fleshy, tropical and fruity palate. Sweet peach notes to close. Sustainable. Drink now.

2. Chardonnay 2020– The incredibly fresh fruit is derived using a protective method (absence of oxygen) during the process of vinification. A slow alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. This wine has aromas and flavors of crystalline peaches, subtle touches of tropical fruits and apples. Loads of fresh fruit and with a long finish. Our summer sipper!

91 James Suckling- Aromas of ripe apricot, mango, cream and wet stone. It’s medium-to full-bodied with crisp acidity and a creamy texture. Flavorful finish.

3. Malbec 2018– Aged 10 months in French and American oak, the Malbec grapes are selected from the best vineyards of Mendoza. This wine has an attractive and intense violet color, with black fruits, berries and raspberries flavors and finish complexity and elegance. Perfect for that steak on the grill!

4. Cabernet Sauvignon 2020– This is a blend of 95% Cabernet and 5% Merlot. All of the fruit was hand-picked and fermented long and slow in stainless steel. The wine was then aged10 months in French and American barrels prior to bottling.

90 points James Suckling

Blackberry and currant with some chocolate and bark character. Medium body, light tannins and a fruity finish. Drink now. Screw cap.
