Beer Buyer Loves Him Some Tallgrass

Join us tonight from 5-7pm for the brewery that the Beer Buyer himself takes home to drink!

“The decision to found Tallgrass Brewing Company was made by Jeff Gill and his wife Tricia on April 8, 2006. Tricia had asked Jeff THAT question: “What do you want to do with the rest of your life?” Jeff had been thinking about that exact question quite a bit. “I want to start a microbrewery!” Jeff answered.  He had been an avid homebrewer for six years and loved to brew beer that people enjoyed.

At that point, Jeff and Tricia made a commitment to start a brewery in Kansas, this meant moving, Jeff giving up his career as a geologist, and Tricia changing jobs, but they were determined. For the next year, Jeff juggled a full-time job while trying to gain as much experience in the craft beer business as possible, and Tricia gave him her full support along the way.”

Blueberry Jam
After a successful solo tour, we decided to put a band together with our Jam Series! Jam out with this refreshingly tart, German-style wheat ale brewed with blueberries.
Raspberry Jam
Raspberry Jam was initially developed at our brewpub, the Tallgrass Tap House. It became an instant hit and we decided it should “go on tour” as part of the Tallgrass lineup. Its crisp, natural tartness is balanced by the addition of raspberries, creating a sour wheat ale that’s light-bodied and refreshing.
8-Bit Pale Ale
8-Bit Pale Ale pays homage to the classic, yet complex video game systems that weren’t perfect but still sparked our imaginations. Notes of fruit and pine resin dominate the aroma with bright hops and vibrant tropical fruit flavors shining through in this medium-bodied American pale ale.

Buffalo Sweat Oatmeal Cream Stout

We often hear from fans who swore they’d never enjoy a stout – until they tried Buffalo Sweat. Some have described its rich taste, creamy mouthfeel and sweet, lingering finish as liquid chocolate chip cookies made with espresso. If you only try one dark beer in your life, Buffalo Sweat will change your entire perception of how a stout should taste.
