Gruet Sparkling Rosé- Reg. $17.99 SALE $15.99

First up this week we have the Gruet Sparkling Rosé from New Mexico.  This Sparkling Rosè is a true beauty with delicate aromas of cassis and hazelnut, and flavors of cherry, and a hint of rose petals on the back palate. The texture is pure, creamy Chardonnay with an ultra-fine mousse and very rich though without becoming imbalanced. This wine perfectly balances freshness and fruit with a dry and clean finish. Don’t be put off by it’s electric color as well, just because it’s bright pink doesn’t mean it’s sweet. But you don’t have to take my word for it, come give it a try!

Mumm Napa Sparkling Brut- Reg. $22.99 SALE $18.99
Second up for this weeks tasting we have a beautiful sparkling wine from Mumm Napa. The Brut Prestige is Mumm Napa’s signature sparkling wine. This wine features fine bright citrus, stone fruit and creamy vanilla aromas, with hints of toast and ginger spice. The palate is much the same with apple and honey also making appearances. It’s vibrant flavors are balanced by fine acidity and a rich, long finish. This is the perfect bottle to open for New Years Eve!

Taittinger Brut Champagne- Reg. $56.99 SALE $48.99

Third up for the night we have Taittinger’s Brut Champagne. One of the most popular brands of Champagne (and Charlie’s favorite!), this is a soft, finely blended wine. With its fresh fruits, a touch of toast and a crisp aftertaste, it’s palate is dominated by Chardonnay, despite a healthy presence of Pinot Noir in the blend, after the Taittinger style. A steely and mineral-y edge creeps in at the end, leaving a wine that is bright and ready to drink but finishes dry and crisply. A wonderful value, don’t miss trying this beautiful bottle before you pick one up for New Years!
Bertolani all’ Antica- Reg. $13.49 SALE $11.99
Last up for the evening we another of Charlie’s favorites, Bertolani’s sparkling Lambrusco. This awesome wine opens with tart and slightly bitter flavors that lead into creamy foam and a dry, crisp finish. This sparkling Lambrusco feels thick and plush in the mouth with loads of intense blackberry and raspberry on the finish. Being heavier than the typical sparkling wine, this bottle will pair well with all the traditional foods you might have with a Sparkler, but also will stand up to heavier meats or more rich meals. We know Lambrusco doesn’t get the best reputation, but don’t miss trying this one. It’s fantastic.
