Simi Sauginon Blanc- Reg. $14.99 SALE $13.99

Up first this week we have the Simi Sauvignon Blanc. This brilliantly clear, pale-straw-colored wine leads with fresh, appealing citrus notes of lime zest, pink grapefruit, and fresh lemon grass followed by green papaya, passion fruit, and green apple. Wet stone adds a mineral component to the aromatics. This wine is fresh, bright, and crisp. Refreshing, full, and vibrant; the palate has a long finish with a lingering impression of green citrus, stone fruit, and mineral. One of our favorite Sauvignon Blancs and back on sale for the summer, this is an excellent bottle to pick up and stash for when it warms up after the weekend!
Bodegas Olivares Rosado- Reg. $12.99 SALE $8.99
Second up for the night we have one of our most popular rosés this summer, the Bodegas Olivares Rosado. This wine is bright pink in color, but don’t be fooled, it’s still very dry and crisp! The nose is full of red berries, oranges and some spicey notes (typical of Spanish rosé). On the palate the red fruit flavors show through in the initial tasting before giving way to strong and vibrant acid and a dry and clean finish. While it might not be the first rosé we’ve recommended you this summer, it is absolutely one you should add to your list of wines to try! To make it easier, come try it while we have it open!
J Pinot Noir (Multi-Appellation) – Reg. $20.99 SALE  $18.99
Third up for the evening we have the J Pinot Noir, which is sourced from Monterey County’s Santa Lucia Highlands (70%), Sonoma’s Russian River Valley (26%), and Santa Barbara’s Santa Maria Valley (4%), which are three of California’s top Pinot growing regions. On the nose this bottle is classic Pinot, with medium-to-dark berry vibrancy with tones of smoke that give it balance. This wine presents rich ripe dark fruits on the palate such as plum with hints of blueberry and lavender, as well as rustic oak and a moderate acidity. Another wonderful bottle to have with Summer meals but will stand up to colder weather as well. This is a perfect bottle to stash for a special occasion, even if that occasion is celebrating that it’s Friday!
Klinkerbrick “Farrah” Syrah- Reg. $20.99 SALE $15.99
Since it’s been a few months, last up for the evening we have the Klinkerbrick “Farrah” Syrah, another store favorite (and one of Charlie’s favorites!). It’s easy to see why, as this Syrah expresses blackberry, currant and plum on the nose with hints of smoky oak, spice and pepper. On the palate, this delicious wine has balanced flavors of berries, dark chocolate, coffee and anise wrapped in a smooth texture. Present tannins lend structure to this full-bodied wine, with a long, lingering finish. This is a wonderful wine to pair with grilled foods or just drink it by itself on the porch. A wine this good doesn’t need an excuse to be opened and enjoyed!
