Chateau Haut Pougnan Entre Deux Mers- Reg. $13.99 SALE $9.99

First up this week, we have the Chateau Haut Pougnan Entre Deux Mers Blanc! This zingy, grassy white made from primarily Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Semillon and Muscadelle is always a Summer favorite around Pettyjohns. Lower acid than the typical white Bordeaux with a finish of fresh fruit and crispness that leaves you mouth watering for another sip, this wine is a true beauty. This bottle just came in on with our Spring/Summer direct imports and it won’t last long! Don’t miss your chance to try it while we have it open, it’s perfect for this weekend’s weather!
Chateau Trians Rosé- Reg. $18.99 SALE $13.99
Second up for the night we have the Château Trians Rosé, a
returning store favorite! A blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Cinsault and 10% Syrah, this wine exhibits aromas and flavors of strawberry, cranberry and floral notes on a lengthy, refreshing finish; the ultimate thirst-quencher. It’s beautifully dry (typical of Provance rosé) without being aggressive. Another wonderful rosé for the summer, we just can’t stop bringing in more and more to try! A perfect bottle to add to the ever-growing collection of rosé, it might be time to have two bottles of wine with dinner just to try them all!
Albatros Malbec- Reg. $12.99 SALE  $10.99
Third up for the evening we have the Albatros Malbec from Chateau de Cenac. While we typically see Malbec from Argentina now adays this is a great reminder of where Malbec originated. Dark red in the glass, this wine pours beautifully while showing aromas of dark fruit, wood and a touch of molasses. On the palate this bottle is full bodied, firm and fruity, with solid tannins and concentrated flavors of black fruit, tar, licorice and wood. An excellent bottle to pair with Summer grill-outs, it’s hard to go wrong picking up a bottle (or two!) of this wine!
Guigal Cotes du Rhone- Reg. $16.99 SALE $14.99
Last up we have the Guigal Cotes du Rhone. Full of spice and smokey cherry along with dark berry aromas are complemented by suggestions of candied violet and cracked pepper. Spicy, energetic and sharply focused on the palate, offering concentrated bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors that open up slowly with air. Distinctly northern Rhône in personality and texture, featuring a peppery, floral-dominated finish, smooth tannins and excellent closing thrust and persistence. The quality of this wine consistently outpaces its price and competition, and that’s especially true in this vintage.
