Simi Sauvignon Blanc- Reg. $14.99 SALE $13.99
 simi
Up first this week we have the Simi Sauvignon Blanc. This brilliantly clear, pale-straw-colored wine leads with fresh, appealing citrus notes of lime zest, pink grapefruit, and fresh lemon grass followed by green papaya, passion fruit, and green apple. Wet stone adds a mineral component to the aromatics. This wine is fresh, bright, and crisp. Refreshing, full, and vibrant; the palate has a long finish with a lingering impression of green citrus, stone fruit, and mineral. One of our favorite Sauvignon Blancs and back on sale for the summer, this is an excellent bottle to pick up and stash for when it warms up after the weekend!
Pala Vermentino- Reg. $15.99 SALE $13.49
Up next we have the Pala Vermentino from Italy. Not as mainstream as other varietals, Vermentino is a perfect summer time wine and it’s easy to see why. This bright and lively white wine opens with aromas of white flowers, tropical fruit, ripe pear and wild herb that carry through to the round, full-bodied palate. Fresh acidity brightens the rich flavors and lends complexity not often found in white wines of this price, while a strong presence of minerality closes out the finish in a dry and crisp fashion. High on our list for summer whites, this is a lesser known grape varietal you won’t want to miss trying!
The Boatman Red Blend – Reg. $15.99 SALE $12.99

Third up for the night we have the Boatman red blend out of California. Primarialy Alicante Bouschet (a grape made up of Grenache and Petit Bouschet, primarily from Spain/Portugal) blended with a bit of MalbecMerlotCabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, the wine pours extremely dark in the glass, giving off aromas of ripe plums and soil. Fresh and lively while still being soft on the palate, this is an insanely drinkable wine with flavors of berry jam, figs, and a touch of coffee on the finish. We brought this one in during Malbec Madness and haven’t been able to get enough of it! Don’t miss this opportunity to see why we like it so much!
Klinkerbrick “Farrah” Syrah- Reg. $20.99   SALE $17.99
Last up for the evening we have the Klinkerbrick “Farrah” Syrah, another store favorite (and one of Charlie’s favorites!). It’s easy to see why, as this Syrah expresses blackberry, currant and plum on the nose with hints of smoky oak, spice and pepper. On the palate, this delicious wine has balanced flavors of berries, dark chocolate, coffee and anise wrapped in a smooth texture. Present tannins lend structure to this full-bodied wine, with a long, lingering finish. This is a wonderful wine to pair with grilled foods or just drink it by itself on the porch. A wine this good doesn’t need an excuse to be opened and enjoyed!
