Kaiken Reserva Malbec- Reg. $13.99 SALE $10.99
First up this week we have the Kaiken Reserva, facing off against the Zorzal Malbec. This wine has an intensely ruby red color that sets up the nose which reveals fruity aromas that intermingle with aromas of wildflowers and a predominance of black fruits. such as blackberries accompanied by notes of coffee and chocolate flavors that develop with oak aging.  The palate is dense, with blackberries accompanied by notes of coffee and chocolate flavors that develop with oak aging. This is complimented with a well-balanced acidity, round and elegant tannins and a medium-long persistence on the finish.
Zorzal Terrior Unico Malbec- Reg. $15.99 SALE $13.99
Second up and facing off against the Kaiken is the ZorzalTerroir Unico Malbec. This wine has lived on our Malbec shelf for some time and has always been an easy buy. Dark Ruby in color, it pours beautifully with accompanying aromas of black fruit and spice. The wine has well defined fruit as it enters the mouth and has great volume with a very particular texture resulting from the chalky soils. Its tannins are sharp, making it very direct, with nerve and a very long finish. Will it beat the Kaiken this week? Come try it and find out!
Girl and Dragon Malbec- Reg. $15.99 SALE $12.99

Third up is the Girl and Dragon, a new entry to Malbec Madness this year, and facing off against the Durigutti Malbec. Another beautiful Malbec, this one pours a bright violet as it hits the glass. Ripe and fresh aromas of concentrated berries along with light notes of earth and spice. The palate is also bright and concentrated, with red fruit and herbal notes complimented by a smooth and full texture and medium-fine tannins. A lengthy finish gives this wine staying power and helps it pair perfectly with food. Another one not to miss, come see if this one has what it take to beat the Durigutti!
Durigutti Malbec Classico- Reg. $15.49 SALE $12.99
Last, but certainly not least, we the Duriguitti Malbec Classico.  The biggest Malbec of the evening, this one has bold, rubbery aromas of dark-berry fruits and toasty oak. The palate is hard-driving with smoky, peppery, black fruit flavors that pour on the oak and spice. The finish has notes of espresso and chocolate along with herbal and vegetable spice notes. Made by Hector Durigutti with his brother, this wine shows their immense skill in wine-making, especially in regards to Malbec. Don’t miss the final wine of Week 3 of Malbec Madness!
