Punto Final Malbec- Reg. $12.49 SALE $10.99
First up for week 2 of Malbec Madness we have the Punto Final Malbec! This wine is fermented in stainless steel to preserve the wonderful fruit aromas and flavors but aged with just a touch of French oak to add structure and complexity. Dark ruby red in color with violet tones, this Malbec has aromas of red currants, blackberries, and plums, with notes of pepper and clove. Flavors of black cherries, red and black currants, and juicy plums fill the mouth with hints of wood spice and vanilla on the finish.

Zorzal Terroir Unico Malbec- Reg. $15.99 SALE $11.99
Second up and facing off against the Punto Final is the Zorzal Terroir Unico Malbec. This wine has lived on our Malbec shelf for some time and has always been an easy buy. Dark Ruby in color, it pours beautifully with accompanying aromas of black fruit and spice. The wine has well defined fruit as it enters the mouth and has great volume with a very particular texture resulting from the chalky soils. Its tannins are sharp, making it very direct, with nerve and a very long finish. Will it beat the Punto Final this week? Come try it and find out!

La Posta Pizzella Malbec – Reg. $16.99 SALE $12.99
First up in the second match up of the night we have the La Posta Pizzella Malbec. Bright ruby-red in color with dark fruits, chocolate, roasted herbs and licorice on the nose, with attractive spicy lift. Sweet and seamless on the palate but energetic, with good strength to the spicy blackberry and violet flavors. This dense, smooth wine finishes with serious broad tannins and very good length as it leaves your palate. A terrific wine for rich and flavourful meaty dishes (as most Malbecs are) this is sure to be a favorite at your next dinner party.

Catena Malbec- Reg. $20.99 SALE $17.99
Last up we have the Catena Malbec. This “microclimate blend” of four unique vineyards offers intense aromas, a soft texture, and concentrated flavor. Deep aromas of ripe red and dark fruits are joined by delicate violet and lavender notes, with traces of vanilla and mocha. A rich, concentrated mouthfeel is highlighted by flavors of blueberries and blackberries with a touch of sweet spice, and leather. The wine finishes with bright acidity, well-integrated and silky tannins, and a flinty minerality that lingers on the palate.
