Join us Friday night as Ann (owner + wine buyer) turns 30 once again. She has chosen four of her favorite wines that she would drink on her special day. Charlie will be pouring in her honor Friday from 5-7pm. We hope everyone has a great weekend enjoying the slopes and/or the big Broncos-Patriots game. Go Broncos!

OUR FRIDAY LINE-UP:
Domaine R De La Grange- The “R” Muscadet, as we have been calling it in our store, is a great French wine to start off with. Yellow and with a slight tinge of green, this wine has a wonderful nose- very expressive of its flavor. White fruit on the palate, it is fresh and bright with strong acid. It is aged on fine lees for 8 months, giving it added complexity. A perfect wine to pair with appetizers or seafood.
This is a great example of Tempranillo from clay soil. The palate is full bodied with strong fruit up front and sweet, round tannins towards the finish. The nose is full of black currants and plums, which is reflected in the palate. Just the right amount of acidity further compliments the wine. We tried this recently and just had to bring it in, we love it so much. This also got “90 points” from Robert Parker and is in our new “90point wines for under $20” section! Come check it out!
Seghesio Zinfandel – Reg. $24.99 SALE $19.99
An Ann-favorite, this zin is phenomenal. The grapes for this wine are sourced from the Home Ranch Estate and none of the vines used in this wine are younger than 40 years. A blend of mostly Zin with a bit of Petit Syrah and Syrah, this wine is spicy and velvety. Loads of complexity from the fruit flavors through to the lingering finish, this Zin is sure to hit all the right notes. You can find in it our “We have Zinned” display; Information we are sure you’ll want after you give this one a try!
Antica Cabernet Sauvignon- Reg. $49.99 SALE $39.99
Last up, we have the Antica Cabernet. This cab is stylish and elegant coming from 23 year old vines grown on Atlas Peak, one of the sub-appellations of Napa Valley. Perfect from beginning to end, it starts with rich fruit and finishes with clean structure and a wonderful, lingering effect on the palate. 16 months in French oak gives it complexity and good tannins. We brought this in for our Napa tasting, and we still love it. This is another great finisher to a tasting and one we don’t think you should miss!
