OUR FRIDAY LINE-UP:
La Vielle Ferme Blanc Boxed Wine- Reg. $24.99 SALE $19.99
There are some new and exciting displays on our 2016 floor. La Vielle Ferme Blanc and Rouge are our first to be our “Featured Boxed Wine”. This is the ideal package for the consumer who has one or two glasses of wine a day. Opened boxed wine can last weeks in the fridge or counter and remain fresh. Very little air gets to the wine to let it spoil. Having a party? Once you chill a box thoroughly, it will stay cold on the bar for three days.- No need for a bartender. Lastly: we can walk you through the boxes that are filled with great-tasting wine with an unbelievably low price tag. The boxes are equal to 4 bottles of wine!
This is a crisp, dry Rhone-style white (the name means “old farm”) with aromas of white peach, white flower, hazelnut and melon. It has good acidity for structure, but is truly a people-pleaser. It’s a blend of Grenache, Ugni Blanc and Vermentino.
Matthew Fritz Chardonnay- Reg. $14.99 SALE $10.99
Our “Featured Chardonnay” is from the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County. The Matthew Fritz label has been blowing our minds for the past couple months. Founded by Matt Bonano and Fritz Stuhlmuller this entire label is outstanding. Not a big, oaky Chardonnay, this has very little wood, mostly fruit that reminds us of melon, citrus and some pineapple. The lively finish really gives the wine a lift.
Cosentino The Dark – Reg. $13.99 SALE $10.99
Looking for a highly rated wine from your go-to reviewer, only to find the price is out of the budget? For 2016 we are stacking
“90 Point Wines Under $20”. The Dark by the Cosentino Winery is a blend of 60% Petite Sirah and 40% Petit Verdot from Lodi, CA. This is the first vintage of this wine, and Cosentino knocked it out of the park! This beauty is rated 90 points from Wine Enthusiast and a “Best Buy”. “Intense blackberry aromas, along with black pepper and additional blackberry flavors, meet firm tannins on the palate to make this a bold and complex wine. While full bodied, it’s not overwhelming and it lets complex flavors from the concentrated grapes come through.”
Peachy Canyon Westside Zinfandel- Reg. $19.99 SALE $17.99
First to be tasted from our “We Have Zinned” display, this is a blend of 77% Zinfandel, 13% Petite Sirah, 6% Alicante Bouschet, 3% Syrah, and 1% Tannat from Paso Robles. Always a mind-blowing wine, this vintage opens in the glass with rich aromas of black cherry, vanilla bean, anise, and leather. On the palate sensuous spice notes of clove, fresh nutmeg, and cigar combine with plum, peat, and chestnut flavors. A radiant structure and harmonious finish bring this elegant wine to a close. This is truly Zinful.
See you tonight!
