Salt has become a very popular dining spot with Boulder locals. It inhabits the old, famous Tom’s Tavern building at 1047 Pearl Street. It is known for its ambience and farm-fresh approach. Chef Bradford Heap, who trained in Michelin three-star restaurants in France and Italy, will oversee a delectable five-course dinner in the Salt cellar Thursday, April 16th at 6:30pm.
“…the basement at Salt is one of the most coveted dining areas of the restaurant. Dark woods, a turquoise floor, and a 13-seat intimate round booth set a serene mood.” Maya Silver, Dining Out, 2014
They will be pairing their delicious non-GMO dishes with a selection of Boulder’s Viewpoint Wines. The wines include the 2014 Viogner, the 2013 Chardonnay, the 2013 Pinot Noir, and either the 2012 or 2013 Dry Creek “Secret Vineyard” Zinfandel. Viewpoint Wines, with farming roots in Iowa, was conceived in 2010 in Boulder and now produces roughly 8,000 bottles per harvest. They encourage their customers to take a different viewpoint sometimes, because life is just a matter of perspective. Pettyjohn’s will be present at the dinner and the Viewpoint wines can be ordered after dinner, as well as picked up later from our store in South Boulder. Tickets are $55 per person. Please call Salt at (303)444-7258 to make reservations. We hope to see you there!
